Not For Profit Work

My values of using my skills for the betterment of my community and my world and in volunteerism contribute to a desire to dedicate part of my practice to working with the not for profit sector.

Leadership and Organizational Development:  The need for leadership in the not for profit and social enterprise world mirrors that  in the corporate sector.  Leadership is a key ingredient in ensuring that a community organization delivers on its mission.  And it is much much more than being able to deliver a good speech.

Governance and Risk Management:   Good governance is becoming more and more important to all organizations as clients, the public, funders and donors, and other stakeholders increase their expectations.

Strategic Planning:  A clear strategy with key success measurements and milestones is critical to an organization delivering on its mission.   Excellence in execution and follow-up and building it into your operation plans makes sure that it doesn’t become just another binder on the shelf.

People Management:  Small and large organizations need effective and efficient people management processes that are “fit for purpose” to ensure that your processes are aligned with the culture that you want in your organization.
